Remove hidden content

Pure being begins without determinate properties. Notice how easily ordinary images import content that the starting point explicitly excludes.

02 /

State the difficulty

Explain why an entirely indeterminate starting point cannot remain a familiar object. The connection with nothing concerns this precise lack of content.

Examine becoming

Ask what the new category expresses about the movement between the earlier determinations. Keep the argument distinct from a claim that everyday existence is unreal.

An idea to keep.

Read one transition closely enough to explain its necessity and to formulate a specific objection.

Your turn to think.

  1. What does “pure” exclude?
  2. Which step needs the strongest justification?
