An open door to philosophy.
Aurelius is an independent editorial exploration of the life and thought of Marcus Aurelius, designed to make an ancient work accessible without erasing its complexity.
We distinguish historical narrative, interpretation and contemporary exercises. The twelve book titles and their summaries are editorial creations; adapted passages are always labelled. They invite you to read the text without replacing it.
French, English, Spanish, German and Italian receive the same care. The project’s architecture allows more languages to be added in future. This is neither an official website nor a critical edition of the work.
Philosophy can enrich reflection and action. The exercises are personal invitations, without a promised outcome. Notebook entries are stored locally in your browser.
